TenFifteen
TenFifteen is a large-scale photographic installation that offers an impression of the full scope of Dekker’s work. All images in the installation measure ten by fifteen centimetres — the familiar size of a casual snapshot — hence the name.
Thousands of black-and-white photographs are presented side by side, reflecting the endless stream of images encountered daily through social media. Individually, the photographs are intimate and personal; together, they form an overwhelming visual landscape.
The installation explores how photography has become a way to share everyday life — turning private moments into public images. By bringing this habit into a physical space, TenFifteen invites viewers to slow down and reflect on their own relationship to images, visibility and self-presentation.
Rather than offering a single story, the work mirrors the rhythm of social media itself: fragmented, abundant and subjective. Viewers are encouraged to move through the installation freely and consider how they relate to the countless images in front of them — and to the images they share themselves.
